Both guys showed up large in the second half. Hats off to both

Oweh with 21 and 3-6 from 3. Ya he missed an important free throw but we have no chance without him tonight.

Also Jelly played well, we have to play the guys that can score.
I have been very critical of Denzel all season. But the past 2 games, he has not forced his shot, but taken open shot and has hit them. He is not a point guard but has improved by not thinking he has to make every play. Move the ball quickly and penetrate for a bucket while also looking for the open man. Great effort, we just need to do something in the first half.

I also noticed Oweh and Aberdeen passed to each other more. Is the speculative beef squashed, perhaps?
I also noticed in the post game with DA and Pope, Denzel mentioned Otega multiple times and gave him his flowers for his effort. Even when Pope was talking about how sick Oweh was and missing shoot around but gutted it out in the game you could see DA nodding in agreement. Maybe whatever that wedge between them was is mending some. I think it has a lot more to do with on the court (they are essentially the same player mold) and take up the same space on the court when we use them as the 2 and the 3 and they battle each other everyday in practice which can create issues. But with Lowe out and DA the clear PG, the roles change and they have to work off each other with less competition. Their off the court stuff I can't speak to. But it while it seems like they are getting along better, it seems like Mo D has mentally checked out of having any motivation or love for his teammates.

He really tried to force things in the first half and spent way too much time dribbling. He played a great second half. I'm not sure why he doesn't start the game with the same mindset that he had in the second half.

Wedge was fans speculation. Every player has mentioned how close they are as teammates.
Kills me that some read and adopt as gospel an anonymous social media poster throwing **** against the wall

They both deserve a lot of credit in these past two games. We needed to see Aberdeen back up the Mississippi State performance and he did with the 2nd half. Oweh has been on another level in SEC play.
