Slow down otega. Quit progressing so fast and becoming a dominant guard every night you take the floor, we wanna see a senior Oweh. That play in the 2nd half where we were making a run, think we were down 6-8 at the time and he caught a pass from krissa then drove baseline and tried to tear the rim down had me more fired up than any other play in the game and gave me confidence that we weren’t just trying to make it a respectable score, we were going for the kill.

He is the best power 2 guard we have had since Bogans probably. He is a true Powerful 2 guard. Love his drive, nose for the ball, no hesitating to put his body against bigs to tip in or rebound. Dude is good.

I don’t know . . . . . He missed several in-close shots against Gonszaga. His late play where he drove wide open and dunked after the assist from Robinson was his best offensive play. I think he needs to become just a little bit better with his shot makes.
He’s tough as nails though and that may propel him to the NBA.

He’s 2” too short and has a slightly less than adequate handle away from being a lottery pick.

That being said, every guy on this team has some inadequacies or they would be in the league. That is not a knock. I love these guys and will take this type of team 10:1 over superstar freshmen with great measurables but have inadequate basketball skill.

Not to be negative, but people keep forgetting that baseline dunk only happened because we had a 4 on 5 opportunity. I was excited it happened because we always get screwed when an opponent player is behind, they always seem to call the whistle or we don’t capitalize. However, the baseline dunk isn’t as amazing due to lack of defense.

I think he's going to be back...

He has multiple limitations that will be hard to fix. Namely the hitch shot and his handles.

NIL will give him way more money his senior year and the NBA will still be there as his stock won't get higher.
Hope you're right but we're used to seeing guys declare with less game than him. Maybe Pope and NIL will change that at UK.

Haven't seen em on any mock drafts. Come back for NIL, and maybe play yourself in as a 2nd rounder.

If he was 6’8+, I would be worried.

If he shot light’s out, I would be worried.

If he was a great ball handler and a great passer, I would be worried.

He will probably be back as long as the NIL money is there.

2 inches too short and inadequate handle? Are we talking about the same player? OO is 6'4-6'5 220 with elite athleticism and very capable handle. Typical height for shooting guard in NBA is 6'2-6'5.

Yeah, it's hard to argue against him being our most consistent player, night in, night out. We've had other guys step up and have great performances here and there, but he's been a contributor and leader every time out. Gotta love that guy! 😀

I believe that he is UK’s most consistent player so far. Love his energy, his fight and the way he attacks the basket. A very valuable player in the success of this team. I would love for him to come back next year but, don’t see it happening.

Hope he keeps improving his handle and 3 ball.
Hammer down. Light it up! We will deal with the draft later!
Yep, need every one of them to be their best by the end of the season because of the run they could make.

Did you read what I posted? I said 2" too short and inadequate handle or he would be a LOTTERY PICK. That is not a knock to be excluded from the 14 best basketball prospects in the world.

From my perspective, his jump shot is the biggest detriment wrt the NBA. He has an unconventional shot motion that is slow to get off, pulls the ball down to waist level before going back up. He won't get that off in the NBA. He's going to have to completely rework his jump shot if he wants an NBA career.

He’s the 1 player we can’t win without in my opinion. Yea we need butler, carr, Robinson but I feel like we could still get the job done without one of those guys. I just don’t feel like we could win a big time game without Otega’s toughness

He seems to me to be very similar to Cason Wallace just not as good a shooter at this point and he's doing pretty well so far.

This! His jumper is broken. He is not an NBA 2 guard right now.

He plays likes he’s 6’8 when the games on the line and the balls up in the air for anyone to grab
