Otega had at least a degree 2-3 turf toe strain based on the recovery timeframe. He was in a boot early June and is still being held out of pro day.
Having experienced this injury in my 30's, I'm glad they are proceeding with caution and he has access to the best trainers/physical therapy. Obviously, an elite college athlete should recover quicker, but this was a nagging prolonged issue for me.
Prior to it happening to myself, I opened my big mouth and complained about one of my fantasy football players being out with the injury. I thought, turf toe, what kinda puss sits out for a toe? Well, I soon found out just how aggravating and inconvenient it can be.

Where did you get early June from? It was early August when he was first spotted in the boot.
