Heading down this weekend and has been forever since my last visit. I'm sure seafood places and activities are a dime a dozen but wanted to see if any of you had any nice places to go eat or fun things to do. TIA

Boom boom shrimp and $1 beer at Off the Hook. Drive over to St Andrews and hit the seaside places. Gracie's and Captains Table plus Hunts. Love J Michaels blackened grouper. Good local bar is Patches. Fun place. Bayou on the Beach is great. Schooners legendary oceanfront. Scampys has some great early dinner specials and is close to Patches Bar. If you are looking for something different there is a dog track right outside PCB. Both state parks are interesting. St. Andrews runs a boat over to Shell Island.

Hunts is a very good rec. Also, Dusty's is pretty respectable. We always stay at Calypso, do not, I repeat DO NOT hit up any restaurant in Pier Park. The Hangout is a hole in the wall that serves the best seafood on the strip. Also, Shuckums (sp) is a cheap little "get a dozen oysters and drink $2 PBR drafts sitting outside at a picnic table people watching place." It is about a football field from my condo so I do not have to worry about driving, and the Necks trying to karaoke is worth the time going there in it self. Save your time and $$ hitting the chain guys Sharky's, Hammerheads, etc.

The Boat Yard beside Captn Anderson's is great! Pompanos is good. If you don't mind driving a little, go west 15-20 miles on 30A to Shades or Angelina's.... they're outstanding. McGuire's in Destin has great steaks!

Angelo's
Check out Trip Advisor for reviews
Tamme Fan must think you're going Spring Break or prefers the snobbish people & traffic snarl of Destin and the honor of paying $1000 more a week to use the same beach.

If they have an O'Charleys go on Wednesday for free pie or Friday/Saturday for their prime rib special.

Yeap, my wife makes me drive over from PCB on the way home to stop there. The Rueben is her favorite anywhere on the planet. Love them .10, check that, .19 bowl of beans. Worship. I am usually in week long hangover over mode, so I just go with the Mushroom Swiss cheeseburger.

Yeah the Hangout I mentioned is Dees Hangout. My sons favorite spot. The Shrimp Etouffee and Cajon Grouper combo I hade was the Truth. It was only about $21.95 if I recall correctly. Small joint, so get there early, go next door to the Surf / Tshirt place and shop while waiting. Or there is a Tattoo shop next door, so if you are a Neck, just go there.

Billy's oyster bar used to be THE place to eat blue crab and oysters any way you wanted them. Lots of local flavor. It was a little too commercialized the last time I was there though. Maybe changed ownership, but same family I think.
