Unbelievable. Never give up on these girls.
Exactly and at this point not many people ( experts) thought they would even be in OKC this year due to youth. They may not win it all again but this may be PG snd staffs best coaching job in a while. This team will only get better over the next few years.

Win or lose, this team gets a standing ovation from me despite all the hate out there from other fanbases.

They actually pitched to Ella Parker. Willingly! Haha! Knuckleheads…
It only took two pitches, there was a little mental battle going on there between coaches. Patty ran for Pickering, when it was first and third, but I don't think she would have tried to have the pr try to steal second, even though that would have put the tying run in scoring position with two outs, because with the disincentive of that taken away, UTenn would likely have walked her, despite Weekly's post game claim that she didn't want to put the winning run on base. We'll never know.

But I suspect every Sooner fan was thrilled that they pitched to Ella, before she hit it out. Now, we all are, for sure. I can't imagine how great she'll be as a junior with two healthy legs. It wasn't against the greatest competition, but before the shin splints, her BA wa getting close to .550. That lady can hit.

Tough loss today but never count this team out. Its not the first time they have been in this situation. Losing to Texas ( first time ever in a WS tournament ) stinks but they just need to take care of business and if they win next 3 might get another shot at those Horns.

Texas Tech won tonight over UCLA so either OU or Oregon will have have to beat Canady twice. That is a tall task but I think OU would have the better chance of doing it than Oregon.

Hopefully Landry pitches a gem over Oregon but just not sure how her pitching arm will hold out against Tech.

One of our two best players, kind of stunk it up this week. Offensively and especially defensively. Her failure to catch thet fly in B7 was crucial. In her defense, it's very different playing quality outfield in left and right. The little nuances about how a fly ball moves in left and in right are different. And a LH hit to left is different from an RH hit to left. And more of the opposite in right off RH batters and LH batters. But I believe that an honest evaluation would say that the double that sent the winning run to third, should have been caught.

I agree it should have been caught but she didn’t cost OU the game. Canady owned the OU hitters today except for AD late heroics with that 2 run blast.

Canady in my opinion is why Tech will beat Texas and walk away champions. It is a fairy tale story and a good one. The TT coach by all accounts is a great person off the field unlike MW at Texas so this makes it easy to root for Tech.

My only problem with Tech is that Canady NIL deal is worth $1M plus on top of that they gave her a $50K expense money according to the announcers. I am sure Tech thinks it is money well spent if they hoist that trophy but damn this system because it is ruining college sports.

Oh and congrats to the OU softball team, we should all be proud of the run they have had and this years team made a run even the experts doubted. Standing ovation from this fan.

Agree with all you said.
I think her 1mil plus is a one year deal so if someone offers her more she could be gone I suppose after one yr at Tech but I don't keep up with the NIL crap so who knows what rule if any would keep her from transferring for more money.
Can't pull for texass and their jerk coach, go Tech.

I hate Texas and I also hate the idea that a team can buy a championship for a million bucks. I'm pulling for bad weather

The Million Dollar Pitcher evened it up last night with a 4-3 win but Tech almost managed to pull a repeat of Wednesday night by letting texass back in it late in the game. Does or will the Million Dollar pitcher have enough in the tank tonight to seal the deal? For that kind of money it should already be over buuuuuut......it aint.

Maybe they should spread that money around and buy better players instead of spending it all on a pitcher? Just a thought if they want a more rounded team that can win a Natty. But just like football, spending millions like some teams do, see Oregon and Texas, doesn't mean you will take home the hardware.
