He hopefully won't be returning to Norman; there are very few (if any) 2nd chances left in Bob's arsenal.

Coaches recruit size, speed and overall physical ability......why not character ?

They do. I give you Perine. Try Baker. How about Bradford? Perhaps Jason White. I have no stat to support this, but I imagine for every 'bad' character issue recruit/player, OU has over 300 solid student athletes. Maybe more. I don't think you're giving the coaches the credit they deserve. Bottomline, the coaches are not social workers. They study film and know football. They see, understand and recognize talent & skills. In many cases, the 'bad' character issues are most often hidden from them by many others including HS Coaches, family etc. in hopes the kid can straighten up as he grows up. To add to this, perhaps some of these 'bad' character issues were not visible at the time they were recruited.

How can you know? He's never been in trouble. He goes home and the Dodge Challenger he drives is involved in an aggravated robbery. He is the main suspect, yet it says in one report that the "passenger got out wielding a gun." Was he the passenger? Driver? I haven't seen any evidence. I've seen there is a warrant and he is set to turn himself in today...

The facts: there were three armed robberies in the Waco area involving a vehicle that matches the one he drives...

Gautt is my favorite Oklahoma player. As a kid with his picture taped to my bedroom wall I saw a great player who's color was crimson and cream.....period.
Seems like in Gautt's time at Oklahoma, players acted like men. Nowadays, they act for the most part like boys.

So curiously, what was the 2000 National champs star ratings? Were they sure things or coached really well and played above their abilities? I am thinking the second of the two. They played their guts out and I am sure that many other teams had way more star power.

The 2000 Sooners played well defensively.....and had a solid kicking game.

Point being though that you don't need a bunch of 5 stars to have a great team. Proper motivation can make a team into a season killer. Also your point about defense is noted. You need a great defense for sure!

This Country is raising a bunch of snowflakes. They don't want to work for anything, they want to take it because it is owed to them. They are being raised in a time when everyone gets a participation trophy and are spoiled rotten by their parents who give them little to no discipline. Parents stopped parenting a long time ago and are now trying to be their kids best friends. Every generation just gets worse and worse and more stupid. Smdh

Nailed it, 67.
The political landscape over the past 10 years or so is but one example of what you posted.
When the nanny staters don't get their way, all hell breaks loose. Case in point: watch tomorrow's inauguration.
