I am a lifelong fan, and I've seen this scenario too many times. The coaching staff is flailing, momentum is gone, and they eek out 3-4 wins and hold on for more seasons.
Those extra years just set us back further and further as a program.
We are not currently building anything worthwhile or toward sustainable success. We are in year 4 and we are arguably worse than we were in year 1. Meanwhile the team across I-64 is killing it with less resources and with a coach we easily could've had.
I won't actively root against our cats but it is completely unacceptable to hold our breath and hope for a 6 win season once in a blue moon.
