Al Bevelaqua a wrestling legend has passed. Al was the father of Chris and Mike who were Penn State wrestlers in the 80s (as well as four other children). Chris and Al were the first father son team inducted in the Wrestling Hall of Fame. Al was larger than life. His contributions to the sport were profound. One of the founders of Beat the Streets. RIP Big AL

I didn’t know him but I’ve heard thru others how impactful he was, on many levels. Sorry to the Bevelaqua family and friends.

I grew up with the Bevilacqua family and wrestled on the high school team with Chris Bevilacqua and Billy Baldwin. Coach Bev was also my gym coach in high school.
