So, Joe got a lot of praise for the quality young men that the program produced during his tenure and deservedly so. At what point does Franklin get similar praise? Guys like Muth, Saquon etc were recruited and mentored by Franklin and his staff and represent themselves, their families, the university, and the team very well. Good for them. We Are….
Class move by Pat. It says they are also in talks with other Steelers who could possibly attend. It seems like the players are taking Pickens' no-show personally even though the event wasn't sponsored by the team. Many casual observers could hear about it and paint the team with a broad brush. Again, class move by Pat and anyone else who attends even though they have no obligation. Building those kinds of bridges in the community is always good.
