Slightly off-topic on this, but Kyle Korver is quietly having the greatest perimeter shooting season in basketball history. He's hitting 52.5% on threes, and it's not a case where a guy has a low number of attempts- he's 2nd in the league in makes. His true shooting percentage (Total points / [(FGA + (0.44 x FTA)] is 72.6%, second in the league to Brandan Wright (who plays limited minutes, and basically only dunks), and also the second highest ever recorded. And that's a category usually dominated by big guys who take all their shots within 5 feet of the rim. The highest full-time perimeter guy I see is Steve Nash in 06-07, at 65.2%.
As for Patterson, it is shocking how much he's improved his shot, but part of his success comes down to game-planning by Toronto. There's a huge emphasis in the NBA now in setting up open 3's (especially corner 3's, because they're closer), and guys can kill by just being able to stand out there and nail those shots.
