Can some explain to me how there are only 3 games left in the return to the bubble but

Blazers have played 71 games 32-39
Suns have played 70 games 31-39
Pelicans have played 69 games at 30-39

so the pelicans will have played 2 games less than the blazers and 1 game less than the suns?

8 games in the bubble iirc.....that may be why they brought along the extra teams to see what happens and if a team could improve their seeding????

I don't know, but that won't stop me. Each team plays eight games in the bubble regardless of how many games they had played when the season was halted. There was something magical about playing eight more games to get a significant chunk of the TV contract. The eight teams in the East are set. In the West, the 8 and 9 seeds will play for the final spot. The 8 seed would only have to win one game, the 9 seed has to win two. It was silly to invite the top 13 Western teams, but the league wanted Zion in the playoffs

Apparently seventy regular season games had to be played to collect on the local TV contracts
