Yep, thats the problem. The high end talent leaves early, and the average talent sticks around to make the team average. Unless PSU can recruit real difference makers every year, like Bama does, it seems that there will be more years of mediocrity than there will be stellar years, unless the stars align like they did in 2016.....
We knew that Cabinda was seeing snaps at fullback, but now Connor McGovern is also seeing snaps as a fullback and even has lined up as a WR! 
Rare that a team "finds a way" to get a backup lineman on the field, but he certainly played well when he filled in for an injured starter early in the season and props to him for finding ways onto the field!

Living in Dallas I have watched every Cowboys game. MP just jumps off the screen. Many games his performance is similar to the Cotton Bowl game where he was all over the field. He is so good it really bums me out we didn't have him longer.
It's truly a shame we didn't rush him off the edge like Dallas does. Another dimension we didn't explore, particularly as a freshman when he shared snaps.
