Just started watching it on Netflix. I've seen 4 episodes now and I'm about ready to give it up. Liked the premise, Eva Green and the first couple of episodes. But, it's just too depressing and weird and tawdry for tawdry's sake for my taste. Sex, violence, supernatural monsters, etc. are all fine with me. But, PD seems to really push the envelope of showing just enough to titillate and showing way too much. Plus, it seems as if the plot threads are moving extraordinarily slowly.

I know it's been critically received well and that's why I started watching it. Anyone finished the first two seasons on Netflix and can recommend or pan it?

I watched it just to see Eva Green get nakey a few times. I kind of lost interest around the same spot. Wasn't bad, just didn't reel me in.

Shame too, because 19th century Britain is a real fascinating time.

I'm watching the **** out of this show since it went on Netflix. I'm at the season finale first season. Not the best, but I like how they blend in ol romantic horror into one story. Pretty cool.

^LineSki - feel the same way. Like the period pieces in London at that time period but this one is just not drawing me in. I keep wanting it to get better but it just leaves me hanging. And can't watch it with either the wife or daughter around with the kinkiness and gratuitous gore factor. Think I'll hang it up and maybe come back to it.

Eva has a great body but I find her face a bit odd. The show is just ok. It hasn't really hooked me yet.

That's a pretty unfair photo of her...Can't really go an post a bunch of more "proper" paddock-style photos at the moment.. if someone else could be so kind..

I watched all three seasons. It only lasted three seasons. Seasons two and three were much better than season one. There was more focus on the other characters, and the gratuitus gore was cut down, but still plenty of Eva Green.

What about Dorian Gray. Please tell me they kill him off. He's killing season one for me.
