Personalize sports jerseys with your name on them?

Very random question I could use some insight on. I'm personally not really for them, I think it's a bit cheesy. But of course, if you have the same name as someone on the team, then that's pretty awesome.

I could go either way but is it really better to have another dude's name on the back of your shirt?

I've got a bunch of jerseys from the last 25 years that I rarely wear. I'm more of a hockey jersey kind of guy and have a personalized one of that for my favorite team as well as a Hanson Brother from Slap Shot, and Conway from the Mighty Ducks.

When it comes to jersey rules, I've got my own rules for them.

1) Appropriate place- cookouts/home for the game, bars, at the game.
2) Basketball jerseys are for rappers.
3) Must wear the number of a player that would fit your body type more. Like seeing a 300 pound guy in an Allen Iverson jersey is off. It's big guy jerseys or nothing for that dude. 😂
4) Can't tuck it in
5) Can't wear a hat and a jersey together (a knit cap the exception).

I also think of jerseys as more of a collector item, and not so much something you wear every Sunday.

Like LineSki said....most jerseys I have are collectables to me, not so much wearables.

The one exception being hockey games, have several Blues jerseys (no name on back) and wear one anytime I go to STL for a game....or road game.

Every once in a while I'll pop on my vintage 1971 Archie Manning jersey for a really big Saints game.

All that said, have never had a Kentucky jersey of any kind. Weird huh?

The reason, specifically, why I ask, is because I'm thinking of getting jerseys for each of my groomsmen (every other type of grooms gift has been used). . I'm sure that will be met with commentary lol.

But I'm still deciding if I want to go with their last name, or maybe a great player from the past.

If looking for groomsmen ideas, I had custom full size baseball bats made at H&B that had their name, date of the wedding and the logo of their favorite baseball team

I like when grown men wear jerseys. It lets me know they are a giant douchebag without having to meet them.
I’d say that’s more in line with wearing backwards caps and Oakleys or tucking in polos while wearing sunglasses with a strap on them.

A 30-something wearing a jersey to a game is a common thing. Go to a Premiere League match and everyone of every age is wearing the club’s jersey.

This is a pretty cool idea. Had a buddy who proposed to his girl with a Louisville Slugger that was customized.

-its awful, no matter who does it. You're not on the team...and adult males shouldn't have other men's names on their clothing.

- The English still have a Sovereign Monarch...they are not to be taken seriously.

You’ve seen Invincible, Rookie of the Year, and Like Mike. There’s a chance we could make the team. 😂

We bought two customized Packers jerseys for our foster granddaughters who officially become our granddaughters this Saturday on National Adoption Day. Otherwise, no, I've never owned one or had the desire to own one.

This an age and a regional thing. I’m pushing 50, enjoyed the game last night, shot a deer this morning, not ever wearing a jersey.

I’d never wear one myself but this is a cool idea. I’d go with their names since you’ll all be wearing them together so just go all in. Congratulations!
