source of information on almost any football subject, rosters, depth charts, schedules, recruiting classes and standings, you name it, it WAS the best.

Alas, no more, here is the exchange that got me to start this thread, my post and Wildcards response:

I sure wish we had the old Wildcat Lair when all the team roster, depth chart, schedules, stats, recruiting, etc etc etc etc was just a click of the mouse away at the top of the page.
Well, there is a subject in which we are in 100% agreement. I really miss the various pull down menus that made is so easy to find stats and get info on your team and other teams. The new Yahoo formats are an enormous step backwards. Lots of "extra clicking" with this new, improved format. [poop]

Peace

I know that he is a lot more computer literate than I am, and if he has trouble with it like me then I think most do. You had it before, why can't you have it again, too much time, too much money, ?????

We had it before and got spoiled, I hope we can get a lot of posters to agree and try to get some action by posting below.

I don't go on the Cards board, maybe WC can start a better thread over there.

Thanks.

I think I'd enjoy those options. I'm not sure if I joined in time to even see them, but they sound convenient for the sake of discussion.

I think when you click on the offers lists it shouldn't take you to Auburn. I miss the old info on who which coaches were recruiting, their own successful commit and targets, the depth chart of all the teams and what offense they run. Rivals dropped the ball leaving all that info out with that last so called upgrade.

The old format was awesome and I miss it. All the things jauk listed above, I used. I really found the "recruit search" much better then also.

I feel the same way

The rivals sites upgrades were downgrades imo

Like Wildcard told me: "Well, there is a subject in which we are in 100% agreement."

In fact it almost seems to be ununaminous, I think there were a couple of things I liked about the new format (I don't think the new "format" is even the problem, it is dropping all the free info) but I don't even remember all the changes, and overall a loser to me.

I did this on the spur of the moment, perhaps you might start a thread on the Vols board also, maybe make it a poll with grades, like clicking for: 1. Like the changes 2. Doesn't make much difference 3. Dislike the loss of information and 4. HATE the loss of information.

In fact I would welcome someone starting a simpler replacement thread/poll on here, not enough response to this one, although everyone does seem to be in agreement.

This new format is absolutely horrible. It is so bad in fact that I have found myself using Rivals much less since the change. The old recruit search database and the way it was arranged was vastly superior. Now you basically have to know the name of the recruit in advance before you can gather information about them! The old system allowed you to simply click on the player's position to bring up all the recruits at that position that were showing interest in our program. This new system is a joke in comparison. Don't even get me started on the removal of the depth chart and other such useful data. Unless Rivals.com corrects these terrible deficiencies, then they are going to lose a bunch of paying subscribers to the other sites that are far better organized. Heck, even the non-premium users like me will disappear.

I would strongly encourage the site staff here to pass these legitimate complaints to national headquarters and try to get this format changed. If something isn't done, the various Rivals.com affiliated websites are going to suffer a mass exodus as users seeking better sources of data move on to other websites with superior design. It really is that simple.

Exactly, thank you.

They spoiled us, now they have to deal with the spoiled child.

So here I am on Wildcat Lair. I want to look up something from last year. I go to the football tab pulldown and click on "statistics". What do I get? CRAP! NOTHING except some totally BS, totally incorrect summary stats of 3 categories.

The ONLY thing I can say was a significant improvement over the earlier format was the identifying icon showing you have responded to a thread. The ONLY thing that keeps me on the Rivals' Boards is a long standing posting history with members of each board.

Peace

The alerts is nice, the thread you click on will go to where you last read too is also good but the lost info doesnt make it worth while.
