So.....so......it’s really over???? Sniff......sob.....
Also, I heard that Mike Leach’s real estate agent has made an offer on this house (I know someone who once knew someone who went to high school with the estranged ex-wife of the realtor’s third cousin. So.... pretty sure it’s true!!!).

IDC who gets the job at this point but it needs to happen soon. Recruits and players continue to opt out and this bleeding has to stop.

Man, I hear you on that. We can't have any more decommits and/or transfers. I am still holding out hope that whoever we get, it happens today or tomorrow and they get in front of some of the local kids ASAP.

Petrino has been living in the Omni for a few weeks now - he and his wife separated and are headed towards divorce. So for all of you angry about him getting 14M - most likely he's now only going to get 7M - lol.

Im not angry that he's getting 14, or 7 or 3.5 after taxes, its that he didn't earn it.

Its obvious he wanted to retire or get away from coaching. Instead of stepping down, he had to get fired to ensure the money.

I'll give him credence on a failed marriage coupled with losing his Father. Very rough times

I wont ever feel sorry for any coach who is fired they have 7 million dollar buyouts.

Pitino, jurich and Petrino getting fired was the best done deal ever in UofL history...
The way they were managed by the clown show didn't turn out to be much of a financial deal...

$20 million plus whatever Pitino snags. Brings a big smile to my face as I hope it does theirs...

You touched on something that I had suspected for sometime but never could quite put a finger on. Something was missing from 2.0 that was strikingly different from old 41 and 9. I think most of us all agree on that point. Could it be that he was tired of coaching? It appeared to me over the past couple of years that he no longer had the fire and was just cashing a check. JMO

Yes.

Especially the playcalling.
An experienced HC knows better.
Plus he undercut position coaches, thus team dissension the last 5 years.

Also there were some on the Academic side who were bound to have him removed.
