Yep he was the biggest reason NW won the West.. Cats didn’t have a quality QB in 2019...

The Cincinnati native joins a quarterback room at Northwestern that struggled mightily in 2019, as the Wildcats endured their worst season (3-9) since 2006. Northwestern's quarterbacks combined to complete just 50 percent of their passes with six touchdowns and 15 interceptions last season. Clemson transfer Hunter Johnson, Andrew Marty and Aidan Smith also are competing in spring practice.

While on the surface it seems like good news...Northwestern will find another quarterback and coach him up. That is what good/stable programs do. Winking
So what?.. NW went out and got a transfer QB and won their division, so apparently it can pay off to upgrade your talent using the portal in the off season.
Hunter Johnson is still there. He was a Justin Fields/Trevor Lawrence level recruit at one point.
Northwestern didn't have a 3 year returning stater who completed over 70% of his passes and ran for the number of yards per game that Martinez did. Totally different situations. That said, I think an experienced transfer QB would be a good idea for NU.
Good news for us, meaning he will transfer to Nebraska because Frost will welcome him?
Let us know what Big 10 starting QB this fall is transferring at this time similar to what Ramsey did?
