There's something odd about the Tiger comeback. Shortly after his surgery, there were pictures of him with his shirt off, and he was ripped. How has someone who's been battling back issues for years continued to lift that many weights? Also, how did he go from just hitting chip shots a few months ago to booming drives as far as he used to.

I'm an avid golf fan and watch some golf every week, Tiger or not.

That said, nobody moves the needle like Tiger does. My wife couldn't pick DJ or Jordan Spieth or Jason Day out of a lineup. She knows exactly who Tiger is.

Well there’s also something about his complexion that makes him stand out from the large majority of golf professionals that would aid in her identifying him in a lineup.

So Tiger is so well known because he's black, not because he's the GOAT?

Possibly the dumbest take I've ever seen on this board, and I frequent the political thread, so that's really saying something.

ETA - I showed her pictures of Harold Varner III and Tony Finau (yes, I know he is Polynesian, not half black like Tiger, but he passes the complexion test.) She didn't even know they were golfers, let alone who they were.

I've gained 30 lbs and am in way worse shape than I was 10 years ago, but I am hitting the ball further than ever. The equipment and balls get longer every year it seems. I can hit today's 3 wood 25 yards further than I could hit a driver 10 years ago.

I like Tiger but let him win 4 more majors and then we'll talk about him being GOAT. Solid 2 though.

I hate this time of year in Kentucky because I can't golf. Stupid winter, making me travel to play golf. Gobal warning needs to hurry the F up.

Peak Tiger >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Peak Jack. Nobody will ever hold all 4 trophies at the same time again in my lifetime.

I think they are 1a and 1b honestly. My favorite stat about Jack is that along with the 18 major wins, he also finished 2nd 20 times. He could have won 6-8 more if a few bounces had gone the other way I'd imagine.

I've played 6 times in the last 2 weeks, 3 of those times in short sleeves.

Just saying if low 60s and sun is too cold for you, you aren't very committed :)

It's been in the low 40's 30's in NKY early morning. I'd do 50 but have **** to do in the afternoon.

Hell Belterra is fog and hitting a ball into a cloud this time of year.

Yeah, I will say the window of those temps is short - like 12:30-4pm or so. Before or after that and it's not nearly as nice.

Have you played Triple crown (my course) Summit, Traditions?

If so what do you think.

Yeah that stat about Jack is unbelievable. Kinda like Nolan Ryan’s number of one-hitters — most sports fans know he had 7 no-hitters, but what’s not as well known is he had 12 one-hitters [laughing].

Both his and Nicklaus’s records are just stoopid.
