Woods installed as favorite at 10-1. I am taking Brooks Koepka. Played well this week and think he has excellent shot. Interestingly Koepka and DJ are at 11/1 odds, McElroy 12/1.

Hart- I’ve edited your post. Please keep this to golf and golf only.

I do like your list though and bet that Koepka is the betting favorite. This is a massive hitters course. He, DJ, JT etc should all play well.

Not ready to make a pick yet but will be back to enlighten you al.

I picked Molinari for the Masters and he choked. I'll take DJ this time around.

Not a problem at all, no offense taken T. I really only meant it as a joke....No POLITICAL RAMIFICATIONS INTENDED. I do think it would have generated a lot of traffic per respnses though, lol.

Should be a very interesting week as we do not have to wait 2 months between majors. Look forward to you "enlightening" us. Didnt know you were a big golf fan, good to know! OFC

Could see Tony Finau as well, he seems primed to win one.

Finau always seems to be in the mix, tremendous upside to his game and about time for a breakthrough. Dont forget a guy like Jon Rahm "massive hitters course" as you noted, at 20/1. OFC

Big cat, Brooks and Cesco tee off at 8:24 on Thursday. Have to keep an eye on the weather this week as well. Cold and rainy to start the week.

Don't mind seeing two of those guys win. Yeah weather not favorable at outset....OFC

Plus i think he’s cousins with Jabari.

Yep...they're second cousins. I think Tony's father and Jabari's mother are first cousins, IIRC.

I don't think Tiger will be able to follow up what he did at The Masters. I think he gets another major at some point, but I don't see it this week.

If I'm picking a "first" major guy, then I kind of like John Rahm. He's too good not to win one eventually, and I feel as though he's bided his time. Rickie would fall into the same category, I guess.

I'll take Koepka, gun to my head.

I like him. Been impressed since his ankle, popped that sucker back into place and kept getting it. My kind of athlete. Phil as been my favorite for a long time and still is. I hope he wins of course but I've been looking for a new favorite once Phil goes senior. I think Tony's the man. OFC

Brooks, he is still very hungry especially after giving the masters away. I mean he had 4 penalty strokes and several 3 putts on Sunday and lost by 1 stroke. Don’t see that happening again on Sunday

Yeah i just find it hard to find anyone to say gun to my head who’s winning. It has to be Brooks on top of all of the lists.

ALL the best to John Daly this week....I saw my late mother deteriorate with this condition until she was wheelchair bound. Try to shut the criticism out sir, those in the know realize osteoarthritis is dreadful:

I feel bad for Daly. He's had a tough go of it over the years....although, I think it's fair to say part of his issues, like Tiger, were largely self-induced.

Tiger made the comments here, so he's got to own up to that. But he's not the only one thinking it. Tiger is once again the face of golf, so sometimes you're going to say some things that don't come across the best. Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus took a little heat years ago when they questioned whether Casey Martin should be allowed to cart, too. Truthfully, I get where they're coming from and have tended to side with the players.

Like I said, I feel bad for Daly....but this is professional sports. It's not going to matter anyway because Daly won't be able to compete, so I'm fine with him carting. But, I also think golf, or more aptly professional golf, is a walking man/woman's game. I think all players should play under the same umbrella. In basketball you need to dribble. In football, there's tackling. In baseball, you must hit a fastball. You get my point.

Koepka going to win this thing. Never been more confident in a golfer winning a major in recent memory.

Yeah, he's off to a blistering start. He wins this weekend and I think you start to see him getting some of the attention he deserves.

I get "your point," but I CERTAINLY DO NOT HAVE TO AGREE with it. When you see a loved one suffer, it can put a different spin on things.

Sure Daly hasnt led a saintly off course life, but has Tiger? Yes Tiger may be the "face of golf" but he's nowhere near the man Palmer was or Nicklaus is. They werent known for cussing tirades or infidelity. I just have a lot of problems with him passing judgment on such an issue. Besides I have seen "The Big Cat" WD from some tournaments w/injury when he was out of the running.

He may run away with it. I don't see him folding during the weekend. Of course I thought that about Molinari, at the Masters, too.

Whoa....calm down.

First of all, discussion is possible.

Second, every person on this board has watched loved one’s go through something. You’re not the only one.

Third, this isn’t about Tiger. Tiger could cure cancer tomorrow and you wouldn’t give him credit. I’m not a huge fan, either....but I’m not oblivious.

Fourth, I didn’t compare Tiger to Jack or Arnie. I think most recognize that. I compared Tiger’s remarks to similar remarks Jack and Arnie made about Casey Martin years ago. That’s all.

Lastly, I know how you feel about Tiger. Many share the same opinions and I don’t blame them. I just think sometimes people get so close-minded that if they don’t like someone they just immediately shoot down anything they say. It’s like far left-wingers with Trump or radical righties with Obama in the day. All Tiger hinted at was that Daly should be walking. Jack and Arnie have said the same over the years.

I didn’t think Molinari would, either....so I’m trying to keep an open mind with Koepka, too. But, he looked about as dominant as he could today.
