Too many sports means too many players. I tried. Wilt, Schmidt, Chuck Bednarik, Dr. J, Home Run Baker or Lefty Grove from the two Athletics dynasties. (If pushed, I would choose Baker instead of Grove.

Pretty sure the best Philly-area hockey player would have to be Mike Richter, goalie for the Rangers. Borderline Hall-of-Famer, 3x All-Star, won a Cup in ‘94, won the World Cup (and MVP of that tournament) in ‘96, Olympic silver medal in ‘02.
