Interesting thread....oh wait

Does OP have some type of tick? I'll have to remember how low the bar must be for getting on the faculty out in Crappy Valley

Probably the name was brought up badly because Rick Pitino
is being mentioned as a candidate for the Hoya job.
Pitino also is being mentioned for Texas Tech and if St.Johns dumps Amderson
St John's DID dump Anderson.

StbJohns will experience a boost in recruiting and the garden will be a scene. Still nothing to worry about. Rutgers is in a good place for recruiting and looking nationally for players.

Pitino is an old man and doesn’t affect our trajectory. The only thing is that now he can pay players openly rather than hire a bag man.

Best of luck to the Johnnies in the Big Least.

I really wouldn’t mind if the Northeast continued to get stronger at basketball. With the amount of OOC games you can schedule create some attractive regional yearly rotations that top recruits would want to play in that family could attend

Unlike football where a school like PSU can scoop up 80% of the top kids I’m confident it would just help Pike keep some top Tri-state kids home

Anyone who doesn’t think Pitino is an improvement for St. John’s isn't paying attention. The guy is an all-timer. The guy knows how to win basketball games.

I don’t think a rising tide lifts all boats here. It was way too early to say but many northeast programs are down. I was just remarking last night that we may slowly becoming the premier northeast program. Not good news
