I am so ready for the fall practices to begin so there is something football related for one poster to challenge another poster over. I have followed this thread for the last two days, and now in the third day, there hasn't been one football issue mentioned that is a bone of contention. What's a fan to do until August gets here and the real sparks begin to fly?

I don't hold grudges with posters who support their opinions. Generally speaking, you have validations to your opinions, so as far as I'm concerned there is no beef between us.
But I feel like I should be surprised to see grown men with decades on myself still letting egos control them over something as trivial as a message board.

Life is just to short to have peeps around that you don't wish to hear or see. Personal censorship is a worthy endeavor. Many of us, if not all of us chose to attend certain functions and associate in certain circles because we feel better and are more comfortable. I don't attend hockey games because I don't enjoy the sport. I don't attend Hip Hop concerts becuse I don't feel comfortable around those who do and I dislike the music well. So even on a message board, self censorship is worthy. I have no issue with others placing me on ignore either.

No I do not think that is is whathe was saying at all. I think he is saying, that you can pick a fight with anybody under the guise of freedom of speech. But most people have the class not to do it at a birthday party or anniversary celebration.
That you would pick nits in the matter says a lot about you, and him. Most would see his point and agree. You seem to prefer pooping on birthday cake. It is not surprising.
Plaino, I like the majority of your post for your detail to history and overall knowledge. I do disagree with you sometimes in the way you criticize those that pick on Bob Stoops, but I will admit that you have a talent for expressing yourself and defending your point of view even if you are stubborn about it. I know this doesn't appear to be a compliment, but that is my intention. So when we go back to butting heads this season, remember that I do appreciate your posts even when I am totally on the other side. Congrats on reaching 20,000 posts.....coming soon.

It aint crap Sir. And I aint spewing it, but rather enlightening you and others on who Rivals thinks you are. On your next post, hit the Quote button, then the reply button, the quote pops up on the screen w/ the person your quoting rivals post number and their rival member number.

Well, WNAS.....I give you credit for just admitting you don't like him rather than to say "nothing personal, but". It is personal to you. There aren't many people that I don't like, but there are some, so I understand. BTW and for the record, those I dislike aren't on this board. I find it difficult to dislike someone I've never met. But that's just me. I would have given you a "LIKE" for being honest and straight forward, not for disliking Plaino, but I'm afraid some would think I agree with you. I have no issue with your feeling. It's kind of like I don't have an issue with Bruce Jenner feeling like a woman. Doesn't affect me.

No kidding. My first post was September 2013 after years of lurking. At my current pace, I will be 80 years old before I reach 20,000 posts. We are fortunate to have so many loyal posters that provide good and sometimes controversial material for us to discuss.....hey, I like a little controversy.....so again, congrats Plaino on reaching 20K.
