So play virtually the entire season lol? Might as well just move to 5 years of eligibility. This makes no sense
I completely agree. You could just play them against the best 9 teams you face and sit them the other games and redshirt still...what's the point. Not sure how this would affect post season...I guess it would be still be 9 but if you plan on playing the player post season, then better sit them 3 extra games

Ridiculous. Play nearly the entire season, sit out the last couple games with a made up injury … and then get an extra full year of eligibility. TONS of players will soon be working that scam.

Maybe the NCAA should just bow out and say there’s now no rules at all.

What's that gonna mean for basketball? 20-ish games? So JQ could in theory, play the rest of the season and still redshirt? They need to figure this **** out or just blow it up at this point. Why even bother with these made up rules?

Well, it's not new information that the NCAA is terrible. Most of us hate or disrespect them for good reason. IMO, you really can't blame the players; there's nothing immoral about a player asking for another year of eligibility. Any blame should be directed at the NCAA.

Don't think it means anything for bb. Not yet anyway. You play one minute in bb and the eligibility for that year is gone as of now. Unless you get medical redshirt.

Yet is doing a hell of a big lift in that statement bud. You don’t think that gets challenged immediately as a direct result of this and I’d say you are in for a surprise sooner than later.

Under this rule, they would be able to play in every conference game, against every non-conference P4 school, and still maintain eligibility while sitting out tune-up games against schools like Tennessee Tech. WOW
