The columns on the left are just for the OSU game. The columns on the right reflect the results against 7 Power 5 opponents so far this season.
The Adjustment column in the is an attempt to adjust the +/- for the game based on the player's individual performance (statistics).
It is still a work in progress, but indicates that Pete Nance and Ty Berry carried the team.
Regarding the season totals, Elyjah Williams stands out as our most effective player, as deployed by his coach. Robbie Beran is the least effective player.

Brutal game for Young. But I still think he's being misused and needs more minutes.
Well, he's going to be a starter next year. Does that make you optimistic that that team will be better than this edition?

Yes it was not a good game for Young. He was required to chase Liddell on a couple of made 3 pointers. Very odd.
The two minute stint of Young / Williams / Audige / Greer / Simmons scored 2 points and gave up 8.
That lineup had never played together in a game.

Similarly, the lineup that I think should be the starting lineup (Young/Nance/Audige/Buie/Berry) has played less than 5 minutes together this year. (11 pts scored, 4 points allowed).

I don’t understand the math behind the adjustment column. Could you clarify?

Here's what I did for "Adjustment"

I look at everything from the traditional box score - FG, FGA, 3FG, 3FGA, FT, FTA, Offensive Rebounds, Defensive Rebounds, Assists, Steals, Turnovers and Blocks.

Offensive Rebounds are worth one point. Defensive rebounds are worth 0.5 points. Each player's shooting gives him a net = Pts Scored - Shots Taken. Turnovers are -1 point. Steals are +1 point. Assists are + 0.5 points. Free Throws are netted out as Free Throws Made - 0.6 * Free Throw Attempts. Blocks are worth 0.75 points.

You total all of those up for each player on the team. These tend to be positive unless a guy really shoots poorly or turns it over a lot.

Of course, if you are adding value to one player, you have to subtract it from the 4 other players who were on the court at the time. So if Nance, Beran, Audige, Buie and Berry play the first minute of the game and we're tied 4-4... but Nance is 2 for 2 for 4 points, and nobody else on NU has done anything that would show up in the box score... The adjustment says Nance earned 2 more points than his teammates. Since there are 4 teammates, they all lose 0.5 points (in order to offset Nance's +2). So while the traditional +/- would say +0 for everybody on NU, the adjustment would say Nance is +2 and Beran, Buie, Audige and Berry are -0.5.

I use the playing time of each two man combo to allocate the deductions. For example, if Buie and Berry play together most of the game and Berry has a great game and Buie doesn't, the +/- adjustment will be positive for Berry and negative for Buie.
