Obviously Ryan Young played relatively well. Ty Berry played 31 minutes and outperformed the guys he was teamed with, who were generally awful.
With Buie sick, Greer did not have his favorite teammate.
Lineups with Nance and Beran got pulverized 22-8 in about 6:30.
The pairing of Ryan Young and Pete Nance finally got some playing time and performed well (as expected) beating the Hawkeyes 30-24 in 13 minutes of action.
Lineups that had a frontcourt other than "Young and Nance" or "Nicholson at garbage time" got massacred 46-19 in about 20 minutes.
Young and Nance together. Thats been the obvious choice all year. What should have been.
Instead they've gotten about 5 minutes a game together, whereas Beran and Nance have averaged 16 minutes a game together.
Obviously, that is 100% on the coach.
