Edit to add: I was able to stomach Durian. Eggnog, no way in hell.

By itself, boiled custard.
For mixing with alcohol, egg nog. Captain Morgan or bourbon get the job done.

I have no idea what is in egg nog or boiled custard but they are both great. I've never tried egg nog with liquor before but I'm highly interested. I think this could be the loophole I've been looking for when spending all day with my teetotaler in-laws.

Boiled custard all the way. Not a fan of the spices in egg nog. But then I go way back to when my grandma used to make boiled custard every year for Christmas. She had it down pat. Nobody in the family since has been able to master making it quite like Grandma Mary. Store ought is pretty good, not grandmas though, but still better than egg nog.
