POLL: Gameball Duke vs. Michigan State

Well we have a lot to work on, and I am not sure we have all the pieces we need this year. After Jalen wowed in the first game and started strong in the first half of the first half he almost disappeared for a long stretch. We struggled against their Defense and way too few assists and too much dribbling around.

Encouragingly, we did seem to be "getting it" late in the second half. Matthew Hurt looked better this game. Goldwire gives great energy and leadership.

Who gets the gameball?

Can’t in good faith give out a game ball. Feels like a participation trophy. I did come away encouraged by Brakefield.

Can you give the game ball to Michigan State? They played their game plan to perfection and never quit.

I didn't vote for Hurt, who had the best stats, because it's hard to vote for a guy who was repeatedly taken inside and beaten by whomever he was guarding. He did show a lot more grit and effort than last year though so I'll give him that. He is just limited athletically.

Brakefield... hurt's stats were better but I watched the game and brakefiield played hard and hustled entire time he was in...I can't say that for anyone else including Hurt

Gave mine to Hurt! Despite Duke and Hurt not looking good at times, he still managed to reel in a double double against a good Michigan State squad.

Mike Buckmire...had the same amount of FG as Wendell and DJ on far less shots

Brakefield was the biggest bright spot of the game. Liked what I saw from Hurt and Goldwire gets credit for trying to spark the team in the second half. Baker's shot wasn't falling, but I appreciate how hard he was working on defense and the four steals he had to show for his effort.
