Great to finally see Duke play after thinking about Duke basketball for the last 7 months. I have not posted much in off season but have read every thread here. Ready to go!

Great to see Crazies ready for the season. Certainly the loudest they have been for an early matchup like this. Big slam by Allen helped with the excitement.

Amile played very well and is a good choice but I'm going with Grayson. He was in attack mode from the very start, and allowed us to pull ahead in the first half.

Grayson wins. But I have to be honest, lack of point guard is glaring. Hopefully Thornton grows and gets better but this team won't beat good or great teams with Jones at point.

Have a new friend through work. County Inspector for Avery County NC - Tommy Burleson. I need to get a pic of him with my son to post on the board.

Is your son as tall and as talented as him and love Duke?? I've seen tommy a couple times around high school tourneys in the state and he's a big man and from all accounts a great guy! As for game ball gotta go with Grayson but Amile is a close close second

No - but the contrast would be funny! He is a great guy. I have actually known him for several years through local Church connections. He goes almost every year to Malawi on a mission trip that the Presbytery where I am a serving Pastor is the sponsor. I have moved to Avery County in the last couple of years and he is now a colleague of mine.

Had to be Grayson, he looked like a man among boys! Played way beyond being just a Sophomore.
