Didn't even need to watch more than 20 seconds of that to see that the Police did nothing wrong. I do find it a little disturbing that two grown men had that much trouble with a girl.

something was clearly wrong with that woman. and yea two male cops having that much trouble with a girl is bad. and don't know enough of the story to make a complete judgement. why was she out there and why were they called. and those first two cops are most likely douchebags in general. like more cops are than not. so there. man, i hate most cops. and i also hate most mouthy loud *** women. so its a lose lose here. they both suck.

I assume the woman in the white uniform was some kind of mall security?? Couldn't help but laugh at the irony of the guy filming this telling her he was going to beat her *** if she didn't move so that he could get a clear shot.

Completely acceptable in every way

Knees to the side is proper approved technique to aid in restraining a resisting subject where the arms simply won't go to the back

I think those cops showed remarkable restraint. At 5:40 I thought they were going to put her in the trunk. Sad they didn't.

The Officers should have texted her and asked her to report to the police station to answer to allegations of wrongdoing...that is if its not too much trouble and of course at her convenience. Maybe promise a nice lunch or gift certificate for her troubles?

so she had a knife, threatened another employee, threatened to kill security staff members, attacked the cop and resisted arrest. but their needs to be a review as to why the cops used the force they did when confronted an unruly potentially dangerous citizen. yet no personal responsibility is set up her by the members of this "council" regarding her actions. it is the cops fault. [thumb2]

for the record, i still think most cops are douchebags. and i bet this chick is a whole helleva lot of fun. i would. just for the crazy factor. no safe words, no boundaries, just get it on.

She threatened a worker with a knife and spit and scratched an officer.

She didn't want to be arrested for those actions. I'm not sure what she thought was going to happen after that kind of behavior.

She had a knife.
She brandished said knife.
She threatened to kill the Taco Bell employee with it.
When mall security responded, she threatened to kill them as well.
She fought with the police, scratching, biting and spitting.
As bad as the knees and punches to the stomach look, they are "softening" techniques commonly taught at police academys to get resisting combatants to submit to hand restraints.
When the softening techniques appeared to be ineffective, they used the next step which was the non lethal taser.

I am, however, surprised these cops took a break from effing with non violent citizens over BS parking/traffic citations to generate revenue.

It took that long for two male officers to subdue this idiot because they have to treat everyone with TLC now. My stepbrother is a former Tennessee state trooper and currently an officer with the Cleveland, TN PD. He and his fellow cops hate their jobs now because every attempted arrest is a potential lawsuit. He's counting down his days to retirement.

I don't care for cops at all, and think their douchebags about 99% of the time, but they are completely justified in this instance. The girl was acting like an out of control idiot.

I also love Blue63Madison talking about cops complaining about having to treat people "with TLC" now AKA treating them gently and responsibly as opposed to overly aggressive. As a matter of fact these cops are so sick of having to treat fellow citizens with "TLC" that they just want to go ahead and retire!!

Voted no. Think punching and kneeing to much. But, they easily could have pulled those arms around to cuff and if she got hurt on that then, that would have been her fault.

Arresting people (crazy out of control one's) is a dirty job that no matter how you do it doesn't look good.

That hussy had it coming. You threaten to kill someone with a weapon during an argument and everything is on the table IMO. She's lucky they didn't come with guns drawn.
No doubt. If that animal ***** had spit on me, she would have had to drool on me the next time. All that "I can't breath" crap wouldn't have bothered me one bit. Just like the last POS that uttered those words. If you can't breath, you can't talk.

If you get handsy with cops, including spitting on them, they will whip your ***. Everyone should know this by now. If she's threatening people with weapons, she's a danger to society and should be apprehended in whatever manner it takes.

Please tell me this isn't a "thing." I'm generally a F the Po-leece kind of guy, and my outrage meter is 0/100

"Officers arrested Laird, who is tentatively facing charges of disorderly conduct while armed with a knife, resisting police and causing injury, battery to a police officer and discharge of bodily fluids."

Never knew spitting on someone was charged as "discharge of bodily fluids." Weird phrasing. Anyway, nothing really outrageous here.
