Which team do you suspect will be our "signature" surprise win this season? I listened to a podcasts yesterday and they simply have ZERO faith in Florida QB as being a transfer who was beaten out on previous team by a WR who changed to QB?

Of the teams you cite I think MSU is clearly the most likely win (early line guess UK +2). But is this Bulldog team sufficiently good enough to be considered a "signature win"? South Point has their O/U win line at 6.5 (but more juice on the Over). I think any of the other 5 would indeed qualify as a "signature" win.

Signature or not it is one of the 2 most likely games (MO the other) over and above Vandy, SC and 3 OOC games to secure that vital 6 win season. JMO.

Peace

I doubt UK wins any of those games. However if I have to pick one its Mississippi state. They are at home and are arguable the weakest of those listed.

Kentucky will never beat Florida.

That's the attitude I'm taking at this point, because I'm tired of getting my hopes up for nothing. I don't think we'll win any of these games, but msu is the most likely in my opinion.

Though I won't jinx it by saying so, I do believe there is a certain team that has beaten us several years in a row, BUT in each of the last two, we should have won. One we drop gimme interception; the other, we're running the ball down their throats and lose #1 rb and #2 gets hurt.
Even if we do beat them I would not consider it a "signature" win.

MSU is not a signature win. It would be one more SEC win.

After so many years of both being pounded and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, I cannot understand how so many continue to pick a win against UF. It's like we convince ourselves it will happen only to be proven otherwise. I'm going with Georgia since our last 2 victories in Lexington over the Dawgs came in years that end in 6 (96 and 06).

-only signature wins would be bama and ut (given the preseason hype).
-Uga would be an upset fo shern...but uk often plays them tight and has beaten them in the recent past.
-UF may qualify due to streak but( should have a 2 game streak of our own at this point) but they are not that much better than UK *right now*.
-uavel would be an upset...but *far* from a sig win.
-msu...meh...pre Prescott we were pretty much dead even. He gone.

From that list, I have to go with MSU but agree with others that it would not really be a signature win. Like to go with Georgia next but not sure we can stop their running game which is something that has haunted us for sometime now. But, maybe we could just steal that one for our true signature win???

Can't see us winning any of those. Had hopes for MSU win since it at home and Prescott gone then I read their new QB in same mould as Prescott and we know how well UK handles running QBs.

Agreed, especially about the part about it not being considered a signature win. Louisville is an upjumped midmajor, a commuter school. This is a team that we should regularly beat; that we haven't in recent years speaks volumes to our overall lack of performance. But it should change soon.

I think we have a decent shot of taking down at least one of those teams, with Louisville, Mississippi State or Florida being the more likely victims. I think UL is overrated and honestly, we should have beaten them last year.

I think we beat Mississippi State, Florida, and Louisville! Georgia is up in the air, and Alabama and Tennessee are definite losses!

one particular poster likes to remind us at least weekly that he is picking the Cats to beat UF,, do that every year and someday you will be right, maybe this year however,, it's been 29 straight!!! Other than "the odds are they can't do it 30 straight"there really is not a good reason that I can see to pick us to win. I plan on being at the Swamp hoping to see the streak end but I won't be putting any money on it!

It's the last game of the season, so it will be really easy to tell if UofL is a signature win or not. Are you playing 8-3 unranked Louisville, or are you playing 10-1, 10th ranked co-ACC champion Louisville who has wins over either FSU or Clemson and a win over AAC champion Houston?

If it is the latter and UK beats UofL on the road, then of course it is a signature win.

-beating uofl will never be a "signature" win...not saying it couldn't be a good win/upset...but the cards are still the cards.

I'll say Georgia. I don't think it's very likely we win, but of the unlikely games that's the one with the best letdown/look-ahead potential for our opponent (they've got us between the Cocktail Party and Auburn).

That's been the case for the last few years.

Fair enough, but there's yet another possibility. It might be a win against an unranked Louisville with five or six wins.
