Is it BBN, claiming that we've got too many problems to overcome? Or, in some cases, that the sky is falling? (And yes, we clearly have some problems that need to be worked on, but we'll get there. I have faith in Cal and the staff.)

Or, is it the haters (e.g. fans of uavel, unc***, dook, iu, ku, etc.? (Nervously proclaiming we aren't nearly as good as we're hyped to be, all the while hoping and praying they don't have to play us in the tourney.)

Honestly curious.

Our fans are Bi-polar. We analyze everything and blow the small stuff out of proportion. Its asinine. I cant believe some of the crap that is on this board. I dont understand why people get on here to vent because they look so foolish.
No one on this board has the right to question Coach Cal. Hes a proven winner.

Our own worst enemies. Rival fans just get to sit back and enjoy the cannibalism.

This board overreacts to overreacting fans is what I think.

I just watched Elsten Turner drop 40 on us in the game from 2013. UK fans cheered him off the floor. We have the classiest fanbase in he nation. Our awesome fans are dismissed, even by our own, WAY too much.

This board loses their s*** over the smallest things way too often. Some of our board members talk worse about our players than rival fans accusing them of cheating do.

You're describing the 1%.

That's being far too kind.

Yeah, it is a lot more than 1% on this board. I'd say probably 25%. I may still be being too kind.

Exactly , they are worse than rivals . Attack their team after a touching win no less and as you stated they try way too hard to find what's wrong and overlook what's right .

Case in point just change places with Duke, UW, UL for a minute you can figure out the rest.

With respect to my OP, let me be my own devil's advocate against the popular vote (including my own
.)

Due to our sheer size and passion, we *in general* probably get too high after big wins and too low after poor performances. But by proportion to their size, one could argue that rival fanbases have the opposite but even more visceral reaction after the aforementioned results. Make sense?
UK wins big, UK fans are over the moon, rivals are using rationalizations to say why the win wasn't that impressive. Which side's reaction is more extreme? (Not in sheer numbers but in intensity?)UK performs poorly or even loses. UK fans are in panic mode, while haters are delirious in their celebrations, saying we are awful, I told you so, overhyped, blah blah blah. Which side's reaction is more extreme? (Not in sheer numbers but in intensity?)

Big Blue Nation has a dog in the hunt. Those other guys are just trash talkers.
