Lately, state workers/teachers' retirement. So many people know nothing about something they really should understand better. Doesn't stop them from talking about it, however.

Talking Fantasy sports is so awful now I can't even play it. I'd rather talk to a stranger about their 8 grandkids.

"You can win a ship load of money"....yea well, you can die too.

The big two for me:

Politics - If I don't know you, I don't care about your political views. They're probably terrible anyway, especially if you're wearing a fedora/scarf combo OR camo hat/sleeveless T-shirt ensemble.

Religion - You believe. I don't. Please don't make me say something mean if you're trying to convert me into your sect when I've politely indicated I have no interest in your Kool Aid.

You're welcome at my church anytime man. We'd love to see you there.

Get off my porch.

Got a goat sacrifice scheduled for 6 p.m. and must sharpen the knives. They're a little dull from my usual Saturday night neighborhood cannibal buffet.

Ah. Atheists are no different.

"Here, I'm going to go out of my way to show you how much I don't believe in your god and constantly promote and exhaust my efforts by insisting I'm an atheist despite no one asking me. I'll even put it in my bio on social media so they know that I don't believe in anything."

Reminds me of that joke, "A guy who does crossfit, a vegan and an atheist all walk into a bar and I only know that because they told me within 30 seconds."

As for the answer, fantasy sports is lame as hell. Just lame. I stopped playing a few years back when I realized how crazy and serious other people took it and obsessed over it. It feels like the ultimate nerd thing bragging about video games type crap.

Don't get your mangina in a bunch over a guy saying he don't want to hear about someone's belief in a mythical being.

I enjoy listening to people talk about their kids.

I think one of the worse is people talking about how sick they are.

I don't. Ha. I'm talking about the people who feel the need to talk to me about their lack of faith unprovoked just like a Mormon going door-to-door to tell me about their faith.

I agree that some atheists are just as annoying as the Hayel-Faaarrr and Brimstone people. But, personally, I don't talk about it randomly unprompted nor do I go door-to-door preaching the gospel of nothing.

I mentioned it in this thread because strangers starting religious or political conversations with me annoys me, so I gave my answer.

It's not really something I'll talk about IRL unless somebody tells me something I do is wrong/bad "because God." Then I'll kindly let them know if I thought that stuff was real I might care. I can honestly say I've never gone up to someone I don't know and said "Oh bless your heart, I won't pray for you."

Some people, bless their hearts, just feel the need to fill the space around them with wordage. Endless jabber clouds that jam my frequencies.

Guess I've said enough.

What's to understand? Teachers work half days. Have summers off. After 20 years, they retire making 3X their last annual salary and its guaranteed for life. If I were a teacher, I'd love hearing that over and over.

You forgot the mandatory blow jobs and champagne colonics, but yeah. Still, it gets monotonous.

I come from a family of teachers and until I quit at 30 last year I was.

It's a majority female profession. That's why it's the easiest job in the world with the most bitching.

To each their own. I'm definitely a live and let live kind of guy.
