Pool Season

Opened up the pool this weekend. First time doing it by myself. Any tips on clearing out the algae. I have a chlorine filter. Thoughts on switching to salt?

Salt is the best. Pretty much open the pool with shock, algae clear and extra salt for the new season. It stays clear all season with little upkeep. But unless you have a resin pool the salt will corrode your metal supports.

I have an inground pool with a vinyl liner.
