I think most of these coaches are just big personalities. Everything is always the best and so is each new kid they sign. I try to ignore the egregious hyperboly and pick out the few kernels of info.

I imagine it's fun as hell to work with a brand new roster and thinking of all the possibilities. Pope is exciting and just what this fanbase needs! Am I the only one who loves that he's thinking about the team, and not about LHOTP reruns and NBA draft greenroom tickets?
