What is Pope's most important position to fill ?

IMO cal most important position was PG.
(Wall -Great)(Knight- Great)(Teague- Good)(
Harrison-fair/ til tournament -Great)(Fox-Great.
(Harrow- poor)(Hagans-fair)( Askew-Poor)(Wheeler-poor!
If cal didn't have Great play at the point his teams really struggled.

IYO what is Pope's key position?

I don't think he needs a great or important player at one position.

Pope runs plays and recruits players to the play style he wants. We are going to have shooters and great on and off ball movement

Important need = smarts & shooting

Needs a big or 2 who can stretch the floor, make good reads, and accurate passes.

I don’t think a ball-dominant pg is necessary, but I think a pg like Butler who can corral the opponent is important.

That was just awful!

I do think a 4 that has good court vision/passing ability to handle the screen/handoff zoom action and pass out of that position, will be something that takes his team to another level! Great players all around help ECT. But when you go back and watch his team, that's the only reason IMO that he won as many big12 games as he did last year!

Yeah, a stretch 4 and facilitating bigs make Pope's offense run much smoother.

Yes, based on the Pitino years, he will put a heavy emphasis on his bigs. They must move and have great hand and foot work. Gotta run the floor great too. Really, that goes for every player in that system but is asking a lot from big guys.
