Then hand the defense coaching to someone else, let your offense savant do what he came from BYU to do, and you worry about all the psychobabble and substituting during games.
You mean the “modern offense” that’s been around at least 60 years?
Tweaks added to it since 1987 to include the 3 point shot?

He knows he has a roster that can compete for a 1 seed and a championship if it goes for blood every night, but their focus and effort level is more like a team content to be a 4 seed.
He’s probably in his own head as much as anything else. He knows what it takes as a player to bring that intensity every moment of every game on the way to a championship. He hasn’t fully figured out how to instill that in a team.

Pope knew what he was getting into. His resume didn't command a job offer at UK. He knows how high fan expectations are here and I think he will do well.
That's why they decide the champion at the end of the season. We've had a few teams that peaked too early. Like the 2014-2015 team. Let's try to keep our composure and see what we do.
I think he's just having trouble with some guys buying into their roles early like they did last season.
Starting to be a little concerned that this might not have been the home run hire I thought. I was at a 10 out of 10 a month ago. Kind of cooled down to an 8.5. Still a great hire, but he has to adapt. Recruit, get mean, hire staff to help in the area you might lack .

I wanted Pope from the get go. He's a brilliant coach in my opinion.
He'll figure this out and we will be fine this year.
Yeah, he missed on some freshmen talent but we have a really good team. He just needs to fit the pieces together and have them stay healthy.

Pope has relied heavily on the transfer portal in his first 2 seasons and I believe that’s a good thing. It may take longer to assimilate his teams as each new player has older habits and tendencies than a Freshman led squad.
The coaching staff obviously puts a preference on recruiting guys with not only talent, but the right fit for UK. We have a roster of good guys, just like last season, and they will come together to be one of the best teams in the country.

You don't know what you think you know but it's admirable (laughable) that you care so much about Lowe's future (even though you don't know him from Adam) that you want him to shut er down and get surgery. lol...

I'm a guy off work from an injury and will understand if he chooses to put his body first and get surgery and won't bash him for it.
They should have done their homework on the fan base before telling dad to accept the job. We are all about drama especially in summer months and we question the coaches after every game
Not all of us, that's for sure. Most have some class.
And he just got beat by the same team we beat. We have a good coach too.
