I wonder if he can already sense that he's not cut out for this level of basketball. If so, I wonder if he looks for an exit strategy? Money means nothing if you are miserable.

Financially he made the right choice. Not many doctors making what he makes.

Agreed ... I assume his family is miserable, too. Dealing with this kind of pressure would be tough for most anybody. Kentucky is not for everybody.

Yeah, the problem is, if he coach’s again, it’s back to Utah State level. BYU wouldn’t take him back. He will go from making $5MM per year to $350,000 if he is lucky. Empty arenas in a town that doesn’t care about basketball. He is going to hang in at UK until he is given the choice- resign or get fired. Then he will take a buyout and the college basketball world will forget about him.

He'll take a couple years off and then get hired at a lower level school. He’s too good to be an assistant, but not good enough to be at this level.
