Well I do miss the Boom!!! posts. It was a lot of fun not knowing what was coming, and then reading all about these players from other programs.
We will likely see more of those...but hopefully not as many are needed.

The best guess is that Pope already has some progress or even "oral commitment" from some really good players which are not officially in the portal
That would be great.....
Would like to see UK back to kicking butt and taking names, and expecting to win every game👍

What concerns me next year is once again, defense. We're losing our top defenders in Amari and Lamont. Noah, Perry, Chandler return along with Oweh and Garrison plus the 3 freshmen. Outside of any portal gets, what we have returning is really defensively challenged, worse than this year. If we have 13 schollys to give, and snag Ament, that leaves 4 portal spots. Who ever we bring for those spots would likely need to be starters and hopefully slightly above average defenders. I'm not counting on any of the freshmen to have much of an impact defensively.

If we have better athleticism in next season, our defense will definitely be better

When did he hint at Sheppard returning?

He seemed always to know Sheppard would leave if my memory serves me well
He dropped that line in his opening press conference that seemed to hint at it. "The shepherd will lead us..." line. I mean almost all of Rupp went nuts. Even if that wasn't his intent, i was seen that way. Have to be better at choosing words.
