Looking for something with good sound, rechargable, preferably water resistant. Anything you recommend?

Yeah, Bose is good. Heard those Beats by Dre pills were good too, and JBL. Curious if anybody had any experience with them.

I have the Beats but my buddy's Bose sounded better until it flew out of the golf cart and took a ride down the cart path.

I have the bose and love it. It's light, small but great sound and you can take it anywhere.

I've got a JBL Flip 2, I think it sounds pretty good. Doubt it's water resistant though.

I have a 3. It's "splash proof". I don't think it's very loud or holds a charge well but it does get get good reviews for the price point.

My son has the big Oontz and it's pretty impressive. It makes my JBL bookshelf speakers sound terrible.

Best bang for buck is JBL Charge 2+....Awesome sound, well balanced and has the best bass IMO of all blue tooth speakers...Splash proof, 14 hours off one charge....uses standard usb-sd charge cord, can also be used to charge any electronic device on the go...goes for just over $100 on Amazon and blows beats pill out and rivals Bose for the cost. Also has a neat feature where instead of having to disconnect Bluetooth and reconnect if someone wants to play something you can connect all 3 and then hit a button on the speaker to toggle between the devices....IMO it's by far the best value for the money...

Bose is crystal clear. Set it about three inches away from a wall and acoustics and sound are impeccable

Third or fourth on the Bose. Get the wrap/cover thing for it too- accidentally left mine out overnight in a heavy rain and still works good as new. Great sound, holds a good charge, love it.

Motorola Deck for as low as $30. Sound tests show it's slightly behind the UE boom and Co. (UE being the champ for Bluetooth speakers.) ... But now at 1/7 of the price? Steal.

Thing is legit. Great sound and it's legit portable: I can carry it in the back pocket of some jeans (absurd, comparatively) .. Fits in any and all bags. Awesome Party Mode. Gets loud enough that I rarely put it to the top level. Only outside at events do I ever crank it to the max.

BT speakers are at the point of computets/tablets: having variations is key. You can have your high-end stereo with BT, a large speaker like JBLs charge and a smaller, truly portable speaker.

Anything "splash proof" is BS unless they've improved it recently. It's either water proof or it ain't. Anything I've tried that branded itself as a middle-of-the-road water resistant device was bull..

Check the IP score before hand. Otherwise they make speakers for the pool now.. Made to be waterproof

I went to Best Buy and checked them out. Bose sounded the best, but they had no water resistant/ water proof products. The Sony was pretty good, but I was really down to the big JBL extreme and the UE megaboom. Guy hooked me up on the UE so that's what I bought. Liked how it was smaller, although I imagine the JBL has more power and bass.

Megaboom was great in the golf cart, and the hot tub. It's very compatible with the iPhone and easy to operate. So far so good.

I don't remember the brand, but the Best Buy in Hamburg had a cool display for a water resistant speaker when I was there a week or so ago.

Cool. I didn't listen to it, just thought the display was neat. Almost like a hologram.
