With everyone hearing rumors at the same time, it looks like this may get announced sooner rather than later.

I'm hearing Pete Golding will be the new DC at Oklahoma.

Golding does not make sense to me. He's a year away from getting serious HC offers if he stays at Bama. If he comes to OU and gets things turned around, then he's, 1 and done. If he doesn't get a turnaround, then he takes a step back.

I'm not too sure he'd be handed the reins to a quality team though. Is he not even the DC at Bama?

He's co-dc at Alabama. Was at UTSA so has TX. recruiting experience. I'm hearing he's the guy and it will be announced after CCG. Can't verify this but sources seem confident the deal has been finalized. The # $1.2 mil. being thrown around...again not confirmed. Also hearing he will have complete say on D staff going forward. Probably means a clean sweep on that side of the ball. Could bring at least one other from Tide staff.

I sure like Kris Richard . He's in his first year w/ the Cowboys and came from Seattle. The guy is always fired up, intense, and just damn good. He has a young Cowboy defense playing pretty salty this year and is doing the playcalling as well. His resume' shows success at every stop. I'm not sure he'd be offered the job & even if he was, I'm not sure he'd take the collegiate route again. But I like him.

Everything I'm hearing is it's a done deal at $1.2 mil. He's being Scott, the DB coach with him and Eric Henderson, current DL coach with the L A. Chargers. Already making suggestions on new '19 offers. Announcement after CCG.

Humm. Golding has experience coaching linebackers. Scott defensive backs. Henderson defensive line. All have coached together at one time or another. Check off three weak links on the defensive staff hopefully.

Grinch looks terrible right now
Unless I missed it I don't think Grinch was playing. Most of what we are see with OSU's defense is Schiano's doing not Grinch. OSU was at the top of their game until Bosa stepped down and it's like the D decided to take their foot off the pedal. Grinch had Washington State on an upward trend every year the 3 years he was there.

No thanks. Ohio state let TCU gain 511 yards on them with Bosa.

Henderson is the assistant DL coach, not even the DL coach. He has only been the DL coach one time and that was with Golding at UTSA in 2016.
