People that are supposed to be “in the know “ say that Klutch had negotiated very similar deals with UK and UNC . It was Wilson and his family that made the decision to go to UNC . They had a lot longer relationship with Hubert and he sold them by promising minutes and shots .

I don’t believe that Hubert is going anywhere soon . But I’d say the NIL stands but guaranteed minutes does not.

His Mom was upset on some of the things said about her child after he committed to UNC. I'm really fine with having Coach pope figure all this out. I was never really able to follow recruiting as much as most Kentucky die hard fans do. I get my info here - and its good enough for me !

I'm fine if Coach pope gets even just a couple 2, 3 5 star guys each year, in this era. I don't think we're necessarily better off getting 5, 6 or more guys like that and build the team with. I'm good with him getting the guys that are the right fit for what Coach Pope has in mind.

He sure put together a monster team mostly from the portal this year, and that is all the proof I need to see the man knows what he's doing. The results so far show me he knows EXACTLY what we need at Kentucky.

Caleb just doesn't sound like the kind of player we need on our team. The recruiting process for him seemed ... well. I'll just say he doesn't sound like the kind of player that we really need on our team. He's very talented, but many other kids are, too.

Hit the portal, get someone with experience that fits the profile of what coach wants.

Time to let go, most five star guys don’t care about winning games today anyway. NIL combined with OAD has changed the whole mindset of top recruits. Get an experienced PF who’s won NCAA tourney games and wants to compete at a high level. Most guys would love to reach the status of playing at UK their final years in college, they’re out there.

Who would UNC go after. They have kept it in the Dean Smith tree until now but I think they are about out of branches.

WE have to go by what guys that make a living finding this stuff out say .Often times recruits and “handlers “ tell these people what various schools are pitching to them . That was the case in Wilson’s recruitment.
