Stoops sounds so deflated, he seems done at this point. He is trying his best to stay positive, but he just sounds like he's worn out.

His only saving grace, if you can call it that, is to fire the Schlarman and the defensive coaches. But I don't know that that will even work.

It seems pretty evident that he's disgusted by the way things turned in the second half. There's no questioning his will to win, I think he genuinely wants to prove he's as good a coach as his brother and it's at least in part what led to him taking this job. Unfortunately he had a blueprint that just isn't translating to the win column.

I was really turned off when he (twice) tried (to some degree) pin the loss on the dropped int of blake McClain. That was a dick move. Maybe of you could make in game or halftime adjustments like a big boy division one sec coach instead of blaming your players for the loss. If they are out of position on multiple scoring plays there is only one person to blame and that is the head coach

His ilk is also his undoing. Despite the fact he wants to prove his place in his family coaching tree, he also has the luxury of knowing that when he parts ways with UK he can work for Bob as a coordinator for a lucrative salary that won't require him to downgrade his living situation. I don't say this as any attack on his character, I genuinely believe he would prefer to stand on his own. However, I think that while this motivates him it also serves as a distraction that isn't helpful to his success in what has historically been considered as an already challenging coaching position.

That play and the play at half time that let them score certainly changed the momentum. No excuse to blow the lead and lose the momentum. But I said when Stoops was hire to give him 6 years and I am sticking to it, even though it may be very painful if we can't play two halves all year in the same game!

I like Stoops. You want to root for him and it sucks that we're not winning. You can sort of see the realization that the plan isn't working like he thought/hoped. I'd love for us to have a turnaround like we had with Brooks after the 49-0 drubbing at the ends of LSU.

Heard ticket office was going to offer $5 ticket specials for the next home game. I was given 20 and told to give them out to friends.

Going to be hard to sell or even give those tickets away. With the weather turning cooler very soon, people are going to spend their time and money with family and Saturday projects rather than waste both on UK football.

Sadly those are the plays that have defined UK football in my lifetime. I was at the Georgia Dome in 93' when Marty Moore fumbled and at Commonwealth in '87 when Mark Higgs was stuffed at the goal line on 4th down. HOWEVER, where is our ability as a program to hang in there when a play doesn't go our way? I believe the difference in turning around a program is in these moments. A program on the rise will encounter adversity and the programs that get over the hump are the ones that can take the hits and still find the perseverance to win.

If it wasn't for that guy Stoops could have taught a better defense or had a better assistant. I like the change to Gran, but after that fumble by Barker I think his confidence was gone and momentum crushed us.

The defense was too tired to get off the field and we quit being aggressive for some reason. Maybe because scoring was easy in the 1st I guess but man we were lost completely the second half.

Again, I think Stoops is ok, but he is a terrible evaluator. They even said in commendation Dawson admitted mid season they knew it was a bad fit.......yet he made it to the end of the season?

Barnhart and Stoops will continue to cash their UK paychecks, with full knowledge we are stuck with them for the foreseeable future. And it goes without saying that will not change unless the fans stop showing up for games. Only that action will force the hand of those with the power to take steps to change the course we are on. I bleed blue but for now will keep my checkbook in my pocket until something changes. A bowl game is now a long-shot and that is a shame. Some people are just not cut-out to be athletic director or an SEC head coach.
