With the recent two games being postponed, how should I feel about coming into town for the Minnesota game next Saturday? Should we be good to go or should I rethink my plans to come to Welsh Ryan for the first time?

Forecast says 1-3 inches. Perhaps your date expected more
And would have gotten it :p

Problem is not snow - I have landed in snow. It’s them moisture laden clouds. I don’t have de-icing equipment. Likely to be IFR day and if I get stuck at 3K too long as they work around the Chicago air traffic, ice will grow and knock me out of the sky.

I haven’t given up on the trip yet. But won’t have a strong enough forecast of cloud levels til the night before.

Date is off. Looks like **** storm coming to Chicago Wednesday. Small planes and ice don’t get along.
I don't think planes in general do too well with ice. Course bigger planes are generally more equiped to deal with it but still do not get a long

Actually lots of de-icing on larger planes. Heated props, heated wing tips, weeping liquid. When I was plane shopping, that was priority one.

So if you were plane shopping and that was priority one, how did you end up with a plane where it is still a problem?

Was plane shopping for a twin but didn’t buy one. Job change has put that idea on the back burner. Still flying my single engine Bonanza that I have had for years.
