POTUS response in the event of attack...

As I heard reports that the un had approved the nuke deal with iran.....as if anyone cares about the un....I started thinking about things like nuke attacks. My question: If you are the potus and your chiefs of staff sound the alarms and inform you that china, iran, russia, among others have lauched nukes at us, how do you respond? Do you think "If I retaliate, billions will die and render the planet largely uninhabitable and decide not to fire our nukes?" or do you take the position "Who the heck do they think they are? We'll show them....and click off a few hundred missiles of our own in response? If we're going out, we'll take you with us."

Retaliate or show restraint for the sake of humanity and the planet?

What do you do, Mr. President? I'd push the buttons.

They are testing them mounted on ships, trucks, and of course planes. This is just one article.

Israel's golden dome defense system is nearly one hundred percent effective against rockets. I don't think that it is a laser, i think it's missile to missile. But it has sure been effective according to reports I've read.

If they fire first, let them have it, nuke'm. We'll be dead anyway unless the defense systems work.
