I'm sure someone can find the pre-season win total predictions for this team. I know mine was 6 - 6 with a bowl win. So even though we didn't get the USM win, this team still can still get to 6 wins and hopefully the bowl win.

I honestly don't recall many predicting better than 6 - 7 wins. There may have been a few 8 wins, but not many. Actually many predicted much less.

If they had known Baker out for the season most would have predicted less wins and the same ones complain.

Mine was 5-7. I think I modified it to 3-9 after SMU though.

Personally, I think that there is a HUGE difference in 7-6 and 6-7. We win Saturday, play a determined game against UL in a loss and win our bowl, there is some legitimate momentum heading into next season. (Sort of reminiscent of 2006 to 2007...)
We win Saturday, get blown out by 5 TD's against UL (possible, unfortunately), then lose a bowl game and the mood in the offseason will be largely the same as its been.

I said 4/5 wins tops.

Stoops had not shown he could improve a team, now I have some reason to believe.

I have some hope for next season to be a good one.

6-6 with a possible 7-5. Next year should be at least 7-5 and possible 8-4 with all the returning starters we will have.

Mine was 5-7....I think they could sneak up on UL and get a win if they don't turn the ball over....GBB!

I'll be the first to admit mine was 5-7 and went down to 3-9 after the first three games. I guess it's just my age and history factoring in the close games we always seem to lose.

I sincerely hope we can build on this season...4/4 in the conference, even in a down season, is nothing to sneeze at guys. We would have ended up 2-6 in most of those.

Flip SMU and Missouri in my predictions and we are still sitting right at 5-5 at this point.

I was 6-6 but figured a win over SMU and a loss to either USC, Mizz, Vandy or MSU.

After last night, I fully expect 7-5. Louisville will be a 15-20 point favorite and that is such easy money. Load the box, force Jackson to throw, don't let him beat you with feet, avg thrower, besides that Smith kid, avg receivers who drop balls. Recipe for a victory won't be easy but not nearly as daunting as some on here think. We should have won the last 2 years, remember that.

I thought 4-8 with a chance at 5. Surprised me this year how down the SEC was and UK was able to take advantage of that some.

I had us for 4/5 wins so I guess we might exceed my pre-season prediction despite the SM loss at the start.

I remember thinking we'd be 6-5 going into the UL game and was torn on whether we would win that game or not.

Jackson is not an average passer by any metric you use.
15th in passing efficiency
8th in TD's through the air
9th in yards passing
True he only completes 57% of his passes but he is the leading Heisman candidate for good reason.
