I think the Cats get healthy, we go 3-1 in our final 4 games and end the regular season 22-10. Depending on our draw in the SECT, we make the finals.

From there, I think we are a 3 seed in the tournament.

that would be nice but Kentucky to win 3 games in a row will be hard especially not healthy

I honestly have no clue. If butler and Jax are back this week then I think they finish the regular season 3-1 and get 2 games at the SEC tourney and end up 3-4 seed. If both are out out for longer, then I see 1-3 or maybe 2-2 and win 1 game at the SEC tourney and a 4-6 seed come tourney time

1-3 regular season finish. We beat LSU, but lose the other games.

I think that probably puts us at the 9 or 10 seed in the SEC tourney and playing on Wednesday.

We win the first game and lose the second game.

20-13 going into the NCAA tourney as a 4 seed, most likely. Might slip to a 5, if other teams in that range make deep runs in their tourneys. Most likely a 4, though, due to our SOS being so strong.

Win the first two NCAA games. Lose in the Sweet Sixteen. 22-14 final record.

This is with no Butler or Robinson, until the NCAA tourney.

2-2 with losses against Auburn and Missouri whether Robinson and Butler are back or not. Both of those are extremely hard games. Win 1 in SECT and get a 4 seed in NCAAT and win the first game.

I'll say 2 and 2. 20 and 11 overall.

Win 1 n sec tourney.

21 and 12 heading into ncaa.

I'll say 1 win in ncaa at least.

It's hard to predict more not knowing the health status.

1-3 regular season.
Tournaments are a crapshoot.
Teams need time to prepare for us.
If we can win one game, I think we win second on short turn around.

I'll say one and done in SECT.
Teams with more athleticism and experience playing us.
I say a 5 seed in NCAA.
We win first game against less athletic minor conference champion.
Then pull an upset against Arizona tier team not prepared and little fatigued.

I’m one of the biggest realistic homers there are, but if a few dudes don’t get their heads on straight, and decide to play big boy basketball here soon, it’s going to be a split of 1-3, 0-1, and 1-1, respectively!

I love my coach, I love my team, and I love the program, but next season Pope and Co. need to target dudes who are SEC tough, to go along with Perry, Noah, Chandler, Oweh, and the freshmen.

I appreciate Garrison, but I don’t believe he has the skill set to play optimally in Pope’s offensive scheme. I’d love to be proven wrong!

If we go 1-3 to finish out I can’t see anything better than a 5 seed unless a miracle occurs in the SEC tourney.
I think a 5 seed is too low. Only way we end up a 5 seed is if we lose out, IMHO.

A loss to LSU at home would be the only possible Quad 3 loss left for us.

At OU, vs. Auburn, and at Mizzou are all Quad 1 games. Winning any of those 3 will boost us.

All SEC tourney games will be Quad 1 or 2 games, since they are on a neutral floor.

Other than LSU, there’s just no bad losses left on our schedule to pull us down very much.

Our SOS is only going to improve leading up to the tourney.

With our brutal schedule, 3 more wins before the NCAA will get us a 4 seed, minimum, IMHO. That would give us at least one more Quad 1 win at OU, vs. Auburn, or at Mizzou) and one more Quad 2 win (in the SEC tourney). And unless someone in that 3-4 seed potential range outperforms that down the stretch, we probably get a 3 seed.

If Robinson and Butler don't come back 1-3. If Butler comes back this week 2-2. I think we end up a 5-6 seed in the tournament.

I feel like our fan expectations are near an all time low if most are prediction we go 1-3 in the last 4 games.
I think it's a reality of the situation tbh. We are 2-5 on the road in the SEC, so people are hesitant with the Oklahoma and Mizzou games. Add in the best team in the country and being down 2 starters and you can see how people get 1-3, with our lone win against LSU. I think we go 2-2.

If we get Butler and Robinson back this week (long shot) and finish 4-0 putting us at 22-9 and 11-7 in the conference and we win the SEC tourney, putting us at 26-9, where would they seed us?

That would give us at least 13 Quad 1 wins, most likely including two wins over Auburn.

In that scenario, do we have a shot at a 1 seed?

I would think that would push us to at least a 2 seed.

I think we would have to be at least in consideration for a 1 seed with that kind of run.

20-11. Lowest 4 seen. Win 1 game in the SEC T and 1 game in the NCAA championship. end up 22-12.
Could have been a lot better with Jax and Butler but still respectable taking into consideration how we had to assemble the team.

Good year 1 for Pope.

I think we can go 2-2 and win a couple in the SEC tournament and still get a 3.

Tough to predict not knowing what games Butler or Robinson might play in.
But I'll go with a 4 seed, 20-11.

But I do think we will get 1 more upset win, either Auburn, @Missouri, or a quarterfinal upset win over one of the top 4.

You need to check your math. There are only 31 games in the regular season. No 3 seed in tournament.

Every mock tournament field I’ve seen looks like we can win the first 2 games. We’ll have any easier time with it once we’re not playing SEC teams. Anything can happen after that.

2and 2, 2and1 in SEC tourney .4 seed if healthy five if we still have starters hurt. Committee takes that stuff into consideration. NCAA I think we win one then injuries and matchups deteternins how far they advance

I'll say we beat Oklahoma, lose to auburn, beat LSU, and lose to Mizzou.

I think we win one game in Nashville and end up as a four seed. Sweet 16 exit as we lose to whichever 1 seed we play in the round of 16.

Win tonight and LSU. 20-11. Win 1 SECT, finish 21-12 with a 4 in the NCAA. If fully healthy a good shot to make a run.

Preseason, I thought that UK would do better than expected, losing only 8 regular season games. We've lost 9. I'll stay with 9 losses in the regular season. I also thought they would exceed expectations and get a 3 seed in the NCAA tournament. I'm sticking with that projection. We might make a 2 seed if we go 4-0 her on out, and what we do in the SECT being considered.

Hell of a good job considering :

1) Coach Pope having to put together patchwork team in the short time he did, and coming off CCC and the situation with that, it was a very very trying and difficult time to take over.

2) The SEC was historically great this year, and if I would've known the entire league was THIS difficult, then I would've expected MUCH worse. So from that perspective, I am satisfied with how we've performed so far.

I'm bullish, but not H.H. level bullish to say we will go 3-0 and 6-0 and make it a nice even 13-0 to win the SECT title and national title here on out ...

But I am going to go with an ELITE EIGHT projection, I thought they'd get to the Sweet Sixteen in the pre-season, and they've shown me they are capable with that full roster, to make it much further than that. And they don't even NEED a break or two to get there. But with the luck we've had this year, I wouldn't mind seeing us get a break somewhere along the way.

I'll say :

4-0
lose in the SEC tournament finals
get a #3 seed
make it to the elite eight and bow out to .... HOUSTON ... a #1 seed, in the Midwest.

Otherwise, if they put us in dUKe's bracket (as a 3, 4, 5, 6 etc. seed) , we're going to make the Final Four, and they can't allow THAT to happen ... right ?

Staying with a strong finish. Ain't far off the 8 losses I projected to begin with, and possibly getting Jax and Butler back ?

I like our chances of a deep run.... SEC tournament as well as the NCAA tournament. There, I said it.

Go Big Blue

How do you feel about how the team has done now that we're still in the second weekend?
