I can’t image being a mod and not getting free premium access. Lots of work for no reward isn’t acceptable.
I cannot imagine Howie not delivering on a promise. I’m hoping that he will get an opportunity to respond to this thread. Please understand, I’m not calling anyone out on this but I think having a fair opportunity to respond is the only honest way to deal with this. What was to be gained by not delivering on these so called promises.

Dayum. Folks, I apologize if some didn’t realize I was joking about getting a comped premium account or any perks at all for that matter. I thought the wording and emojis would indicate my tongue firmly in cheek. Howie, nor anyone else, promised me anything. When I accepted a Mod role, I was under no illusion that there were any benefits whatsoever associated with the title...and there ARE absolutely no benefits or perks to the job. Anybody who accepts the role is doing a tremendous service to the Cardinal message board community, without receiving anything in return...except a huge pain in the butt. LoL! Again, I’m sorry if I gave anyone the impression Howie or anybody else stiffed or shafted me; that is not the case at all. I don’t want to question anybody’s integrity; I am not “owed” anything by anybody. TBH, I’m stunned anyone took my satirical “bitching” seriously.
Let me know if you need to borrow some money to get by on.
People do change jobs. Howie has left us. Coffee is still around, unfortunately.
Obviously I misunderstood your original post and for that I apologize. Apparently you have the same high regard and opinion of Howie that I have had for many years. Plus the poster that doesn’t like Jack . . . . Well you just don’t know him very well or at all. I don’t always agree with Jack but I always respect him for his honesty.

Like Jack or not, I personally like him, he started this board and gave us all a place to ***** at each other and discuss our Cards. You’re doing yourself a disservice by not going premium. It’s worth one less Starbucks coffee to sign up.
Working on becoming debt free at the moment. $9.95 a month is $119.40 a year less toward that goal....
He did not start this board. And, I was a premium subscriber for 18 years. Dropped it last year. I wish Ennis and Co. good luck. I’m plugged into other outlets to keep up with insider info.
Actually I thought Ron Steiner started this site. But I could be wrong about that. But, in fact, it did give us an opportunity to express ourselves about THE UofL athletics. I was, at one time, a member of both major boards but I decided that expense was simply unnecessary and decided on this site for premium membership. It’s worth every penny and even more so these days with the new management.

Jason Puckett was a mod, too. He still posts every now and then. There’s an ugly, I don’t know if true story, about Steiner’s end of days and the change in ownership of LSR.
Echoing MWatson. Great stuff going on with the premium board. Outstanding content from the staff and solid input from subscribers. A couple of know-it-alls get poked on a regular basis, too. Something for everyone.
