All he said was if you’re not ready to compete then go ahead and go.
No it’s not what he said. It’s in black and white to read

That may be the underlying sentiment…but that is not what he said

In the end, he’ll probably be success at Colorado. But these are still somebody son and kids eventually. I just hate to humiliate these kids publicly

I loved it. Work harder than you ever have, or give the seat to someone else.

It was interesting to see someone effectively deliver the message that playing big time football is a privilege and change the perceived power structure of the portal. Kids have leverage, but so do programs.

He already has people beating down the door to transfer in. We'll see if he can keep this going in the age of fragility

Watch the full video. One of the greatest things I’ve ever seen.

Dude will have that program in the hunt for a bowl next season, the conference shortly after that…

He will be the most sought after coach in the country for pro and college gigs in about 2-3 years. I’d buy out CMS and hire Prime to the biggest contract ever tomorrow.

Tough talk? You hear the stories about Pitino and Cal? They are a one way street and have always been.
What was Colorado’s record last year?

Deion is a clown.
Really? He was great in high school, great in college, great in the NFL and did a great job at Jackson St. He’s a winner, confident and believes in himself and obviously others become better just being around him. He proved himself as a player and is off to a good start as a coach. I would like to see him at UK someday.

No that is exactly what he said. He tells them he that he is bringing his guys and that if they aren’t ready fight for their spot to go. If he said it in a way that hurts peoples feelings then they should just hit the portal. These are not kids. They are adults who play the in the most competitive business on the planet.

Can’t take away his successes and I will give him that. But I think it’s all gonna blow up on him one day, he played that HBCU angle for a long time about how he’s helping put them on the map and all that and then goes to one of the whitest places on earth. He will get recruits and all that but I’m gonna withhold judgment, it’s the PAC 12 now, Jackson State couldn’t beat the playoff FCS teams. It will be interesting to see how he does, but I don’t really respect his Schtick.

I wish someone would roll in and talk to a couple of our teams, players, and coaches like that…

”Anyone who lost to St. Peter’s…y’all are out…”

”anyone in here who lost to Vanderbilt…see ya…”
Or maybe better....just don't sign lifetime stupid contracts to those coaches. The players are human beings and don't deserve to be talked to like that IMO.

For the record UVA lost as only 16 seed ever and went on to win NCAA the next year. So I bet UVA is glad they didn't run off the entire team over a bad loss.

What a shock.....The news media takes this out of context. You can watch a longer clip here...

Highlights:
1. Sacrifices were made for you, losing is NOT acceptable
2. Fans and your parents deserve your best
3. If you are not willing to make the commitment...go to the portal, more room for people who are committed
4. If you don't work or believe in yourself, why should he believe and nurture you...get out
5. The staff's job is to make you want to quit (offseason workouts), warriors are wanted.
6. How can he trust you at "winning time" to be a warrior?... if you are not a warrior in the offseason?
7. Will take you to the breaking point

You get the point...Men need to be men and encouraged to be men...not the current garbage in today's society.

Regards

AND maybe he would take dual roles and coach the baseball team ! Lord knows we need a new one .

Colorado is gonna be an instant turnaround

A coach/person like deion is exactly how you shake the 50 plus year history of ineptness. But maybe by year 20 we will make as much noise as colorado will within 3. Just watch, they'll line up to play for him.
I hope he does well, it’s fun to watch, but don’t forget where he is going.

Colorado is not a coaching graveyard like Kentucky was pre-stoops. They have had big time success before.

Also the pac-12 champ couldn’t beat a 6-6 SEC team.

He will turn them around, but there is a big time difference between winning the pac-12 and competing in the SEC.

Wonder if Colorado will let his players get NIL contracts with barstool sports betting site. I bet UK would not let our players get NIL with gambling sites. Barstool bought Deion players at Jackson State.

I feel He will bring change and boosters will be get on board. I don't like everything about him, but he will demand excellence from his players and staff . I have no personal experience with him but just going by what he has done so far in his life.

Those players knew what was coming. It was a tepid applause when Deion walked into that room. I think the Colorado suits expected it to be a festive atmosphere too, so they had rap music blaring. But when you saw Deion's face, it was apparent this was going to be a business meeting. It really was a hell of a speech though and was totally off-the-cuff. It flowed together like a poem. The dude oozes charisma.

"I want you all to get ready, to go ahead and jump in that portal"

Damn lol

UK prohibited nil for cigarettes, tobacco, thc, and gambling. Will Levis had a barstool nil deal and had to cancel it

What??? Our basketball coach runs up and down the side lines for 40 minutes yelling and humiliating our players, jerking them in and out of the game and making them look foolish. If he wins 30 games nobody cares. And why should we?

This is big boy football and not Pee Wee 5 year olds playing for grandma and grandpa. They stink and it is time somebody tells them they stink. The best football program in Colorado is the Air Force Academy so why not call out The Buffaloes for what they are and they suck.

They may not suck as much as UL basketball but they do suck. You can not be serious. Nah

They'll win more next year, but likely 2-3 years away from competing at a top 25/Championship level. There will be some massive roster turnover next season so there will be some growing pains getting that team to gel and get on track with what Prime wants out of them. I can see improvement and a bowl game, but in 2-3 years look out. Not sure how long he will stay there if something bigger and better comes along though. Florida State would be tough for him to turn down if it came open, but they seem to be righting the ship somewhat at the moment, so if they continue to improve, that job may not be open for a while.
