1) Fire Mike Stoops
2) Pay top $ for a replacement -- any boosters got some extra cash laying around? Probably need $2 million to draw a top notch, PROVEN D-Coordinator. Need someone who can Recruit and Coach.
3) Find some skill players on Defense. As much as I hate Stoops, the lack of talent was evident as well. The guys played their hearts out, but in the big show, being completely overmatched does nothing but get you a loss. While it was Stoops' job to recruit and coach up the talent, something tells me the cupboard was just not stocked like it needs to be. This may take a couple years. This might be a 2018/2019 goal.
4) Please, please hire an OC. Riley's tendency to get "cute" every pressure situation shows he's not fully focused on the offense. We had a thousand 3rd/4th and shorts this year where you failed to just line up and pound the rock. Wildcats, jet sweeps, ugh. Run the damn ball down their throats!! Baker should have been given the keys and allowed to drive. So many dumb calls from the sideline...
That being said, we performed WAY above expectations and I'm happy we got to the playoff and made the comeback to get to OT. Thanks to the players who played their hearts out and made this a successful season. Only 2 other teams will have had a better season when all is said and done.
