22 I've very happy for Sanchez as well as the others. However it doesn't change my opinion of him as a player. Although this is a 2015 award, I'm sure Sanchez career cane into play when making selections. Heck I'm also guessing some of those people who make their selections for AA haven't seen him play one down rather than just look at stats. His interceptions are impressive, however you and I both know they don't tell the whole story. He is still small, he still has tackling issues and he still bites continuously on the double move. As someone said on here before, his ball instincts are very good but everything else is bad. I hope he stays another year to improve on his weaknesses

Yankees, I've never one time remember being critical of your posts or opinions, and I have stayed away from all the back and forth you guys have had about Sanchez. I frankly didn't think it was a worthly topic. But this post is out of bounds. Don't be the first to rehash this deal when a Sooner has been honored. It's not a good thing. I'll probably read this later and regret posting it, so I'm doing something I am shouldn't as well.

Well I think 22 posted this for all the posters who have been critical of Sanchez. If I'm wrong 22 I apologize. The last thing we need is a 5 page topic deciding whether he is good or great lol. It goes nowhere

Sanchez is a perfect example of being a top performer despite being not having the physical dimensions of a great player:

Sanchez plays with emotion, but is undersized. Lack height and weight, but swings a big stick because his heart & brain are always there.

Contrast a player like Shawn Oakman from Baylor: the perfect physical frame, but is a total limp noodle because he doesn't know/care enough to exert himself.

Same could be said of Quentin Griffin, Jacob Gutierrez, Ontei Jones, Derrick Shepard, Tommy McDonald, etc. Guys who were small in stature but played at a high level despite not having the physical stature that are associated with most college football players.

It was an obvious bait post bama and I have to say I'm a little surprised 22 would post it. As for Sanchez, I just personally don't see that he has had that type of year. Jordan Thomas seems to have actually played better. I would guess a lot of the people who vote on these things haven't watched more than a game or two of that particular player. Let the whining begin

BW, I can see where it can come off as bait from S22. But I also think it's maybe more of just wanting Sanchez to get his due and recognition in him being a great player after so many battles about him on this message board. Though I think it could be done without bumping a multi-page thread that was just a huge pile of drama. It literally is amazing the amount of drama and tension the battles over one OU player has caused on this board.

I think the problem was referencing that earlier thread BR. Whatever the case, I certainly don't mind having a polite discussion about Sanchez. On that same note, I saw where Jordan Thomas made the ESPN first team and Sanchez was second. That is the order I would have to put them in.

Great post. Heart and "ball instincts" are SOOO underestimated and impossible to see for some. Sanchez has an overabundance of both.

I'm kinda of the belief that having our guys selected to be All Americans is no big deal to some. Well, it is a BIG deal to the rest of us Sooner fans and we are very proud of our All Americans and the entire team. Congratulations Sooners. Zack... go kick some Clemson ***.

Well at some point one has to look at the source. I'm not all about restricting content or oppressing opinions, but Sanchez is just the new Landry. There's always one player that becomes the player that fans identify as questionable play. For me personally, I've always thought that Sanchez was good to go and a solid performer. Until this year, there was no one on the other side of him.
